Ecology

A range of species and habitat surveys has been undertaken in order to understand the ecology of the site. These have included wintering and breeding birds, badgers, water voles, bats, botanical, and hedgerow surveys.
The survey methodologies have been discussed and agreed with statutory consultees, including Natural England, to ensure that the approach adopted is suitable to assess the impact of the proposed development. In addition, the findings of the surveys have been shared with Natural England to discuss any potential issues or concerns.
Findings from the surveys have found features of ecological interest, such as the presence of bats around the site; these findings have informed the Wind Farm design to ensure that potential impacts on ecological features are avoided or mitigated. |
