Construction and transport
|
During the estimated 12 month construction phase, there would be a requirement for wind turbine components and other material to be delivered by road. However, once the wind farm is operational there would be minimal traffic entering and leaving the site.
If the scheme is approved, a construction management plan would be prepared in agreement with Northumberland County Council prior to any development commencing. This would set out proposed hours of working and a range of other measures to ensure that any disturbance and inconvenience during the construction period is kept to a minimum.
The plan below shows the proposed turbine delivery route from The Port of Blyth to the site, principally using motorways and A roads.
