Landscape and visual impact assessments
|
The visual impact of the Barton Renewable Energy Plant would be minimal because the site is surrounded on all sides by existing or proposed infrastructure and buildings.
There would be no requirement for any overhead pylons or cables to export electricity from the site as the power would be distributed to the National Grid via an underground cable.
An underground pipe network would distribute renewable heat to nearby industry, businesses and new housing.
It is anticipated that the plant’s main building would be about 40 metres high and the single chimney stack would be up to 45 metres high.
