Following the consultation undertaken by Peel Energy, a planning application was submitted to Trafford Council on 2 December 2010. Trafford Council will now formally invite members of the community and other stakeholders for their views on the proposal. Please click here for more information on the planning application.
If granted planning permission, it is proposed that the construction of the 20MW Barton Renewable Energy Plant starts in 2012 and that the plant could commence commercial operation in 2014.
