Suitable transportation routes for deliveries during construction will be agreed with the council before development starts. Two possible access routes have been identified. From M56 junction 14 to the A5117 and Pool Lane and then onto Peel's existing access to the Grow How fertiliser factory (formally Kemira).
However, we intend to arrange, where possible, for large turbine components to be delivered via the Manchester Ship Canal to Ince Dock. This will reduce green house gas emissions and avoid road congestion.
