Ince Biomass Energy Plant

Our proposals

The Ince Biomass Energy Plant is a proposed 20MW biomass-fired power station on land forming part of the Ince Resource Recovery Park in Ince, Cheshire. The power plant would be designed to have an operational life of at least 25 years and would provide renewable electricity for up to 37,000 homes. It would have the potential to supply hot water and steam to nearby industries and businesses.

The plant would utilise the latest technology and would be fuelled primarily by recycled wood, virgin timber, energy crops, and agricultural residues. Up to 175,000 tonnes of biomass would be consumed annually.
