More than 60 budding hikers donned their walking boots for a guided tour of Peel Energy’s Frodsham Wind Farm as part of a local Festival of Walks.
Frodsham residents joined Stephen Snowdon and Abbey McGinty from Peel Energy, part of Peel L&P, for a 3.5 mile walk around the wind farm with information about the site’s construction, operation and environmental enhancements along the way.
The tour was part of Frodsham Town Council’s 16th annual Festival of Walks (2019), a programme of guided walks around the area to encourage people to get active and enjoy the outdoors.
Stephen Snowdon, Development Manager at Peel Energy led the two organised walks with Abbey. He said: “We had a great turnout and it was a pleasure to host both an informative and enjoyable walk in the countryside which was a chance for us to meet residents and demonstrate the wind farm’s positive impact on the community including the Marshes Community Benefit Fund that we fund in support of local projects.”
