Partnerships
|
The Peel Group has created a number of successful partnerships with the public and private sectors for over 20 years.
Peel Energy currently has partnerships with DONG Energy, RWE npower and UK COAL.

Peel Energy teamed up with DONG Energy to create a joint venture to focus on developing low carbon energy in the UK. DONG Energy is Denmark's biggest energy company and one of Europe's most respected thermal and wind power generators and suppliers. The joint venture Ayrshire Power will harness Peel's infrastructural prowess and DONG Energy's coal power plant and carbon capture and storage technological expertise.
The Peel/DONG Energy consortium pre-qualified for the UK's carbon capture and storage demonstration project competition in July 2008. RWE npower joined the team in December 2008.

In November 2008, UK Peel Energy signed an agreement to develop wind farms across UK COAL's extensive land portfolio. Under the agreement, Peel Energy's wind farm development team will lead a programme of phased development through to planning permission. Individual joint ventures between Peel Energy and UK COAL will then construct and operate the wind farms.
