Community consultation

As part of the consenting process, Peel Energy will engage in meaningful pre-application consultation with local communities, statutory consultees, such as Natural England and the Environment Agency, local authorities, and landowners, occupiers and tenants. The intention is that feedback from the consultation process will be used to help shape the final proposals.

Peel Energy has prepared a statement setting out how we propose to consult about the proposed wind farm expansion. This is known as a ‘Statement of Community Consultation’ (SoCC).

Local authorities within whose administrative boundary the application site lies – Rochdale, Rossendale and Lancashire County Council – and a considerable number of neighbouring authorities have been consulted on the statement.
